Kaizer Chiefs: Dove explains his assistance to Castillo and Gonzalez

Edson Castillo and Jason Gonzalez, two new South American additions to Naturena, were assisted in adjusting by Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove.

Dove explained that because the new players' difficulty with the English language is not great, he is acting as their interpreter to help them settle in and feel welcome.

The two newcomers are both of Spanish descent and come from Colombia and Venezuela, respectively. Dove is from Mozambique and speaks Portuguese, a language related to Spanish.

He expressed his enjoyment of being a member of the Chiefs family in any capacity, including through translating, to senior writer Velile Mnyandu of the iDiski Times for the current edition of the publication.

Yeah, obviously, as the chairman said it's a family, we should be able to embrace each other, help each other where we can, Dove, whose Mozambique booked their AFCON ticket over the weekend, remarked to iDiski Times.

And I consider it an honour if I can lend a hand to team-mates who struggle with English. That is how you make them feel at home and like they belong in this family.

The fact that they speak Spanish and not much English means that I'm only there to assist where I can by interpreting. As a result, to me, it just seems like a team-mate attempting to support another team-mate.
