Good News: Kgoloko Thobejane relocates

 Six months after leaving Som United, former Baroka FC coach Kgoloko Thobejane has found a new position.

In February 2023, Thobejane gave up his position as Som's head coach. This occurred after Lebogang Mothibantwa entered the club. At the time, Mothibantwa was going to be named the assistant coach. 

Postmasburg FC of the Northern Cape ABC Motsepe League has since named Thobejane as their head coach.

With players capable of competing for promotion to South African football's second flight, Postmasburg are a very ambitious team. 

After only four months on the job, Thobejane left Som, which finished second in Stream A, the previous season.

Given that he had won seven of the team's first nine league contests, the former Baggaga coach was clearly having a great time at Som.

Having said that, Thobejane will be expected to continue what he was doing at Som before quitting.

In an interview with FARPost in May 2023, Thobejane made a come get me plea to neighbourhood clubs.  During the interview with this outlet, Thobejane stated, I'm still waiting for a chance [to go back to the league].

Now that the guy from above has heard his pleas, he is prepared to get things going. 

The burden of ensuring that the Northern Cape team is promoted to the Motsepe Foundation Championship will fall to Thobejane.

With his extensive experience, it won't come as a surprise to see Thobejane achieve his ultimate aim of making the national play-offs for the ABC League and moving up to the Nation First Division.  

The third tier of South African football will soon begin. This is because some provinces have yet to finalize the dates of the 2023–2024 season's games.

  Lebo Mothiba, a striker for the Bafana Bafana, claims he is a fan of Mamelodi Sundowns and that they are likely to be the only team he would play for if he were to return home.  Vela Khumalo, the head coach of Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Diski Challenge, has given an explanation for why three members of the first squad were used in the team's 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates. Some fans had concerns when Mduduzi Shabalala, Wandile Duba, and Aden McCarthy were assigned to the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium starting line-up. All three of them were given promotions last year, and Shabalala has consistently been included in match-day teams. We wanted to give Mduduzi, Duba, and Aden game time, Khumalo said to Super Sport .
